A Wonderful Week in Slovenia
On Sunday, 21st October 2007, we flew to Ljubljana via Prague. Our hosts Samo and Matej picked us up at the airport, the teachers were taken to their hotel by a Slovenian teacher named Igor. On Monday we presented our work, e.g, the presentation of our school and the film of our school. We worked on our sterotype plays and later we went on a sightseeing tour of Ljubljana. On Tuesday we learnt about a Slovenian architect Jože Plecnik and took photos of the buildings. We had a chance to meet the mayor of Ljubljana who greeted us and a guide showed us the rooms of the City Hall. Our hosts took us to the mountains. We took lots of photos. On Thursday we visited a nice town called Piran. The weather was warm and we walked around with our new friends. The houses and the seaside were amazing. We also saw Skocjan caves. On Friday we had a big performance. It was a good idea to compare the results of the survey on stereotypes, we laughed a lot. The plays were interesting and once again we learnt something new about each others` countries. The week was tiring but something one would not forget. We really liked Slovenia and Ljubljana and it was great to find new friends.
